About
I am Brian Neradt. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I try to honor him in all that I do. This is my professional website, where I share my work as a software engineer. In my work, I value healthy relationships and a positive work environment with my coworkers as we write high-quality software that helps people.
I am currently employed at Yahoo, representing Yahoo’s needs within the Apache Traffic Server open-source project. Apache Traffic Server is an HTTP proxy that supports caching and traffic shaping. My websites are hosted behind a Traffic Server reverse proxy instance running at my home.
My work on the project involves C++17 (and some C++20) patches to the core proxy logic, as well as Python for test coverage. You can see my work in the project’s contributor history and browse my pull requests.
In addition to my employment at Yahoo, I host websites for the local community and am always interested in taking on software projects.
I am based in Savoy, Illinois, near Champaign-Urbana. You can read about my $50/month website hosting service or contact me about a project.
